Sleep is kind of important. I'm usually pretty good at it, too. But lately I've had a few nights where I just can't get my brain to stop running. I've tried meditation, but after about ten minutes, the thoughts come flooding back. I've tried writing, but what I really need is someone to talk to.Hubb . . . ()

My son is four, and his favorite things are motorcycles and guitars. What on earth am I going to do when he is 16?

"All I want to say to you is be yourself.  Say it like you see it, you are entitled.  Explore the world in full color and out loud.  There is such a release in "just being who you really are". Your parents will love you always - no matter what choices you make in life.  I'm su . . . ()

I've had lots of ideas lately, and few opportunities to write. I've been sitting at the reception desk all week. This provides plenty of time for browsing, but not enough time to concentrate on writing. Folks come in here in bursts, and you're never quite sure when that 10-calls-at-once rush is goin . . . ()

My mother and father divorced when I was very young. Two years old. Or four. Something like that. Not long after, my mother and I moved out of state. We have ended up keeping the black cat. He is adjusting well. Very calm.  Our other male is still not pleased, but they are getting better. The other day I had them both approximately in my lap being petted at the same time. Things like that will help. He tolerates the four-year-old version of . . . ()

I like to take long baths, soaking and reading. I like to have that time alone to relax. ...Unfortunately, my son doesn't think I should be alone. He likes to come in and keep me company so I don't get lonely. (His words.) He offers me toys, and talks to me, and does various things that you would e . . . ()

I woke up in the middle of the night, listening. I thought I heard something. In the silence, I heard it again. My son was calling to me from his room. Quietly, I climbed out of bed, trying not to disturb my husband. I opened the door to my room, then my son's door. "What's the matter, baby?" I sp . . . ()

Happy 4th birthday, Mr. No. I think by now I can reasonably presume... I will be shocked every year that my son is as old as he is. Wasn't I pregnant just last month? Where did the time go?

We have been stressed and distracted lately. On top of that, Hubby has been sick. Our son has been amazingly, brilliantly good during this. Playing quietly when we need our naps. Hanging out in his bedroom when we are having conversations in the livingroom. Generally being the happy, independent b . . . ()
